Businesses host Family Fun Day with a ‘Madagascar’ movie theme

"Madagascar Family Fun Day" will take place across the county and will include food, games, prizes (every child that attends gets a free drawing ticket for the chance to win prizes) and raffles ($1 each) with 100 percent of the proceeds from the raffles going to the Delaware County Fire Departments located in the hosting towns, Clifton Heights, Upper Darby, Drexel Hill and Holmes in Ridley Township.

Some of the prizes and raffle items include LeapPad Learning Systems from LeapFrog, Sound books, DVD Trivia games and Activity Books (all with the "Madagascar" theme), tickets to Great Adventure, a bike, tickets to the Kutztown Folk Festival, restaurant gift certificates and more.

"To help speed the recovery of lost or stolen children" the Pennsylvania Free Masons will be volunteering and inviting, parents attending "Madagascar Family Fun Day" to enroll their children for free in "The PA Chip Program" and get a free child identification kit (3 out of the 10 locations hosting family fun day will host PA Chip).

The child identification kit works like this: Volunteers will video the child (a full two minutes) and burn a DVD for you to take along with a record kit that includes a fingerprint chart, detailed physical description, medical information, personal information, current photo (that parents add later) and a DNA kit for hair, nail and swab samples. If this children goes missing, the family will have all their information ready to give to the FBI and for TV news broadcasts so the police can recover the child quickly and safely.

05/19/05 - Ten businesses in the Upper Darby, Clifton Heights and Ridley communities will host a Family Fun Day Saturday, with a theme based on the new film, "Madagascar." The Delaware County Business Community and DreamWorks Animation SKG Film Company invite residents to "Madagascar Family Fun Day," 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, to benefit local fire departments and keep county children safe with the Freemasons Free PA CHIP program.
