Nike Air Trainer 1 Puerto Rico

Nike has a long history of Puerto Rico sneakers, mostly Air Force 1s, that pay homage to the island.

Joining that rich heritage is the Nike Air Trainer 1 "Puerto Rico" shown here, which features the requisite red, white, and blue colorway. The shoe doesn't skimp on Puerto Rican imagery either – there's a coqui frog on the tongue and Puerto Rican flag embroidered on the back.

There's no firm release date for this Nike Air Trainer 1 pair yet, but Nike should be releasing them before the Puerto Rican Day Parade hits NYC on June 14.

Dreamworks, the movie studio headed by Steven Spielberg and other big media moguls, Television has signed cereal and snacks maker Kellogg's to create treats and goodies based on its movies. Under the agreement Kellogg's gets exclusive rights to make cereals and other tasty breakfast foods based on Dreamworks movies including Shrek 3 and Madagascar 2. Kellogg's will be responsible for promoting the foods, and therefore the movies, via in-store, TV and online ads. Kellogg's is just four years into what was supposed to be a 15-year agreement to do just this kind of thing for Disney but that deal's fate is now uncertain. Thousands to attend Campechada cultural festival in San Juan

Thousands of people will flock this weekend to Old San Juan, the historic colonial center of the Puerto Rican capital, to take part in activities of the 4th Campechada cultural and artistic festival. This year's event will be dedicated to Myrna Baez, 83, considered one of Puerto Rico's greatest painters and engravers.
